Rafiki has CH, which stands for feline cerebellar hypoplasia—a condition where the cerebellum is underdeveloped. What does that mean for Rafiki? A little wobble, a little sway, and a whole lot of charm.

CH causes unsteady movements, so Rafiki may look a bit uncoordinated as he walks or plays. What it doesn’t cause is pain, weakness, or a shortened life. Rafiki has the strength to walk, eat, use the litter box, and enjoy all the things cats love—he just needs a bit of help with balance.
